Description
Just 7 miles south of the county town Wicklow, beautiful Brittas Bay has one of the finest beaches on the east coast, and is a firm favourite among Dubliners seeking a weekend escape from their city homes some 40 miles distant. With no headlands to disturb its flow the sea here is ideal for swimming and sailing, while this designated area of ecological importance has habitats of interest including sand dunes, ferns and grassland areas. Brittas Bay is also home to a world-famous European Golf Links course and offers a variety of family-friendly activities such as surfing and horse riding. Inland, the Wicklow Mountains are the largest mountain area in Ireland. The National Park stretches across almost 23,000 hectares featuring wide-open vistas, winding roads and fast-flowing streams that descend into the deep lakes of the wooded valleys – St Kevin’s monastic settlement at Glendalough (19 miles) is a must-see.
Located within a pleasant residential development in the seaside village, this three-bedroomed holiday home is a spacious base for a family or friends’ group. An open-plan layout prioritises together-time here; step inside and you’ll find a contemporary living space full of natural light and with comfortable sofas placed beside a wood burner for a real sense of home-from-home comfort. The modern kitchen has all the essentials for fuss-free self-catering, and there’s plenty of room to linger at the dining table. Open the patio doors for a breath of fresh air or to relocate your mealtime outdoors. When it’s time to call it a day, there’s a lovely double bedroom with its own en-suite shower room on the ground floor, alongside a separate wet room. Above, the first-floor layout features a second double bedroom, a triple-bedded room and a separate WC.
An enclosed garden area with decking runs along the front of the property and has outdoor furniture so you can enjoy food, drinks and fresh air in comfort. While here you’ll also have shared use of on-site leisure facilities such as a tennis court, football pitch and games room.
