Description

A place made for all seasons, the pretty garden and cosy open fire that this property has to offer makes this a fabulous place to escape to year-round. Formerly the area’s local grocery store, this converted cottage is part of the village’s rich history, playing a beloved part in its County Wicklow surroundings. Explore these surroundings on foot or by bike to get to know the bucolic appeal of this eastern Ireland holiday destination. The property itself is a single-storey retreat with space for six guests. It offers step-free access interiors, spacious rooms and an adapted bathroom to be utilised as required.

Painted in pretty pastel tones throughout, this lovely holiday home offers pleasant surroundings to feel at home each day. The lounge is always kept cosy and warm thanks to its open fire, neatly positioned opposite soft seating so you can warm up cold toes in between great conversations and films on the TV. The kitchen/diner is a single space along the hallway, and three lovely bedrooms sit alongside a bathroom also on this floor. Outside you'll find a spectacular little garden, fully enclosed with a patio area, furniture and remarkable countryside views to be admired with a drink in hand.

Never-ending greenery surrounds this cottage, allowing for rewarding walks in all directions. Walk towards the nearby village of Aughrim (4.5 miles) to find a pub that’ll welcome you at the end of your trek. Head towards the coast to discover further beauty, starting in Arklow (13 miles) and moving northwards along County Wicklow’s coastal offering. The fabulous Brittas Bay Beach (19 miles) is on this route, a gold-sand destination backed by dunes – perfect for sunbathing, ball games or surfing.
