Description

A delightful, character conversion, this architect-designed cottage is set within a building that was originally a coach house. Positioned beside a larger, period house, it enjoys its privacy and makes a superb hideaway for a couple. Less than 300 metres from Tramore’s beautiful, sandy beach, it is also well placed for the town’s many shops, eateries and attractions. Strike out from the cottage along the 1-mile-long Doneraile Walk, with its spectacular views out across the bay. Visit Waterford, 8 miles away, with its spectrum of shops, restaurants, museums and historic buildings. Pretty Ballymacaw Cove is 8 miles from the cottage and Saleen Beach, beside a lagoon, is 7.5 miles away. You can also play golf and watch horse racing in Tramore.

Step inside this bijou bolthole to find accommodation that marries period features with modern comfort. At the heart of the property is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you and your loved one can cuddle up on the sofa in front of a good film after your bracing walks. The kitchen area is compact but includes everything you need to rustle up dinners for two and there is a table where you can pull up a chair and open a bottle of wine to enjoy your feasts. There is also a WC downstairs. The double bedroom is up on the first floor of the cottage and has a window opening up to a small, ornate balcony. There is an en-suite bathroom here as well.

The walled patio is the ideal place for morning coffee on sunny days. Dine out here too on fine, summer evenings.
