Description

This quaint, thatched fisherman’s cottage bursting with charm and character is nestled around 200 metres from Curragh Beach. It is the perfect getaway for couples and families craving an escape to the coast; swimming, surfing and water sports opportunities await.

Where charming rustic decor and homely touches coexist in perfect harmony, the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasts a true warmth; the roaring multi-fuel wood burner housed inside an exposed brickwork fireplace and gorgeous tones of natural wood reminiscent of a country cottage set the scene for pure peace and tranquillity. The rich, regal colour palette and soft, sumptuous linens of the double bedroom ensure a dreamy night’s rest, whilst the bunk bedroom, accessed via the double bedroom, is the perfect spot to tuck children in for the night after a busy day of exploring. Boasting a characterful wood-clad ceiling, the charming family shower room, also accessed via the double bedroom, offers everything you need to kick start your day’s adventure. Outside, unwind to the distant sounds of the waves rolling into Curragh Beach as you dine alfresco with a glass of something chilled on the patio furniture.

This quiet location along County Waterford’s enchanting coastline is perfect for anyone who loves nothing better than coastal walking and golden beaches. One of the seven beaches dotted around Ardmore, head to Curragh Beach less than a mile away to while away a fine summer afternoon skimming stones out to sea or paddleboarding the crystal waters. Keen walkers can head to nearby Dungarvan (10 miles) to join the disused railway line to Waterford City to travel across eleven bridges and three viaducts along the journey. The picturesque village of Ardmore, with its sandy beach, surfing tide, 12th-century Round Tower and scenic cliff walk can be reached within 2 miles.
