Description

Set at the foot of the Knockmealdown Mountains on the grounds of a Georgian country house and working farm, this rural detached bungalow is ideal for a family of six or a group of friends seeking a nature getaway. Up to three canine companions can join you on your holiday in County Tipperary, where you can enjoy nature hikes and trips to nearby historic attractions and quaint towns. In the evenings, snuggle up in front of the wood burner, tuck into a home-cooked dinner and relax in the traditional cottage interiors of this property.

Inside the main living space, you’ll find a central diving wall with a wood burner which separates the lounge from the kitchen/diner. The lounge is kept bright with natural light pouring in through the large sash window and the space is decorated with a large sofa and a dramatic fireplace. Continue into the neutral-toned kitchen/diner to find a dining table and a farmhouse-style kitchen with wooden worktops and an island. Completing the interior is a family bathroom plus three bedrooms – a double and two twin rooms. Outside are expansive grounds with a working farm, set beside the River Tar.

During your break, enjoy tranquil strolls along the river and through the surrounding countryside. For a meal out, visit the nearby large village of Clogheen (1.5 miles). Take your four-legged friends on an adventure in the Kildanogue Wildfowl Sanctuary and Nature Reserve and Liam Lynch Trailhead National Forest (both within 7 miles). If you’re feeling adventurous, head south to The Vee Pass, Bay Lough for some kayaking on the lake and Sugarloaf for a rewarding uphill hike (all within 6 miles).
