Escape to the country and treat your loved ones to a peaceful break at this charming 1850s cottage, set 3 miles from the scenic village of Curry. Wander the neighbouring organic farm fields and sustainably managed woodlands (winners of the 2025 RDS Silvicultural Excellence Award), where you can pick your own blackberries, blackcurrants and even wild strawberries straight from nature. With two cosy bedrooms sleeping four guests, it’s a wonderful retreat for families or friends keen to explore some of Ireland’s most breathtaking landscapes.
Inside, the cottage has been thoughtfully renovated to offer a warm and welcoming space. The cheerful open-plan living area invites you to settle into the sofa before rustling up a hearty meal in the characterful brick-and-beamed kitchen, complete with a range-style cooker. Gather at the dining table to enjoy garden views, then relax with your favourite TV shows as the sun sets. When night falls, you'll have a choice of two restful bedrooms: an inviting double (with the bed accessible from one side) and a twin room ideal for children or friends. Step outside to the partially enclosed garden – a tranquil spot perfect for al fresco breakfasts or summer BBQ dinners, with a swing set for children. Ample private parking completes the package.
Lace up your walking boots and head for the Ox Mountains 1 mile away, or have a leisurely day discovering the beautiful trails and lakeside art installations at Lough Talt (7.5 miles). If you’re craving sea air, the sandy stretches of Strandhill, Enniscrone and Rosses Point are all within 30 miles. After a day out, round off your evening with traditional Irish music in the lively pubs of Tubbercurry (3 miles) or Charlestown (5 miles).
