Description

This detached dormer bungalow is in an enviable coastal location, surrounded by mountains and enjoying views across Dooagh Bay. The reverse-level bungalow features an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, bedrooms across both floors and access to a smart patio garden. It is ideal for large families or groups of friends keen to explore Achill Island, a dramatic landscape home to fine beaches and historical sites.

The dormer bungalow enjoys an elevated position alongside others of a similar character, most if not all overlooking a long sandy beach. Its interior is fresh and contemporary, with natural light pouring onto colourful soft furnishings from all angles. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the first floor enjoys stunning sea views from its windows and skylights with enough room for everyone to move around in comfort. There are three en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor – a twin and two doubles, one of which enjoys sea views and access to the attractive patio garden via French doors. A handy utility room is located outside along with it.

Achill Island is dominated by astonishing beaches beloved by surfers, dramatic landscapes that are a haven for walkers and vibrant communities offering a warm Irish welcome. Dooagh Beach and a host of pubs and eateries lie within 0.5 miles of the cottage, Croaghaun Mountain (within 3 miles) is one for ardent walkers, while Keel Beach (1 mile) is a stretch of golden sand populated by water sports lovers.
