Description
With a choice of three bedrooms and a sunny outside space, this welcoming getaway is perfect for a solo adventure, two friends or relatives travelling together, or a couple looking for a romantic escape. It’s set in the heart of Ireland’s lush, scenic Golden Vale, with opportunities for all kinds or fresh-air activities, from horse riding and fishing to golf and biking.
The stone cottage has a rustic feel with wooden floors and timber-clad ceilings. From the hallway you’ll enter the welcoming lounge, finding a selection of seating and a solid-fuel stove offering extra warmth in the cooler months. There’s a satellite TV and a DVD player for entertainment, and a dining table for two which looks onto the courtyard. This rooms flows through to the kitchen in which a sturdy table offers another option for dining and there’s all the equipment you’ll need to conjure up delicious treats, including a dishwasher to help with cleaning up. Completing the ground floor is a shower room. When you’re feeling tired, head upstairs to find a double bedroom, two twin bedrooms and a bathroom. These first-floor rooms all have sloping, timber-clad ceilings. In terms of outside space, there’s a courtyard at the front of the property where you can sit in the sun and sip a morning coffee, enjoy an evening drink or grill something tasty on the BBQ. Another benefit is ample private parking.
From this convenient location you can get out and about in Limerick and beyond, perhaps fishing on the River Maigue or Lough Gur, walking in the Ballinaboola Forest, golfing near Charleville, or mounting biking in Ballyhoura, all within 14 miles. For some retail therapy or a meal out, the market town of Charleville is 5 miles distant and Limerick City just 21 miles away.
