Description

A gorgeous terraced house in the vibrant village of Sneem, this three-bedroom home offers cosy accommodation for families or groups of friends. You’ll have a lovely grassy park opposite your holiday home and plenty of shops and restaurants within 1 mile. For a cultural experience, pop into one of Sneem’s pubs and enjoy traditional live music accompanied by a delicious pint of local ale. Take local walks starting from the village and enjoy the majestic beauty of the River Sneem estuary, with short strolls and longer hikes both on offer without needing the car.

The inside of the house has a pristine appearance, with shiny wooden floors and plenty of space for your group to spread out comfortably. When you’ve been out in the elements all day, relax into one of the sofas and light up the fuel stove for some much-deserved cosiness, and perhaps some TV. The kitchen/diner has attractive grey tiles, cream units and a solid wooden table for sociable family meals. Stairs from the lounge lead up to the bedrooms, all decorated in a welcoming and cheerful style. The property also includes a rear courtyard so you can relax outside in good weather.

Nearby, you may choose to check out Parknasilla Resort (2 miles) which has a 12-hole golf course, subtropical gardens and also a thermal suite so you can enjoy an indulgent facial or massage. Golf enthusiasts will be pleased to discover there are four 18-hole golf courses within 20 miles of the property. Are there keen walkers in your group? The Kerry Way hiking trail, considered one of the most challenging in Ireland, passes through Sneem. In Kenmare, 15.5 miles away, make the most of excellent shopping opportunities and perhaps book a river cruise on Kenmare Bay. You’ll also have a number of wonderful beaches nearby, including the gloriously sandy White Strand Beach near Castlecove (9.5 miles).

Location

Reviews

The property and its location are excellent. While it is in the village it was very peaceful.

Mr O N,

We had the most wonderful stay in Sneem and the accommodation was fantastic! Clean, spacious and so well resourced. It was in stunning and perfect location. Margaret was so helpful and welcoming when we arrived and everyone one we met locally was so kind. We learnt so much about the history of the cottage from pieces shared in the house and locals also gave us additional information which was so lovely to hear. I would highly recommend staying here as the whole family from 10-44 absolutely loved it. Sneem cream ice cream was one of the many hits!
