Description
Surrounded by magnificent views of the glorious countryside of Kerry and Cork, this stunning detached architect-designed bungalow provides a tranquil base for walkers, nature lovers, anglers, golfers and water enthusiasts. Overlooking a peaceful tidal river – renowned for its salmon and trout – as it flows towards the breathtaking Kenmare Bay, the property enjoys a quiet location just outside the friendly town of Kenmare. Lying at the eastern end of the bay, Kenmare has a fantastic choice of restaurants and pubs, with local activities including golf, tennis, horse riding, boat trips and sea fishing. Local attractions include the famous Ring of Kerry walking trail, the Kilgarvan Motor Museum, Ardtully Castle and Hidden Valley Pet Farm, all within 7 miles.
Stepping into this light and inviting holiday home, the airy open-plan lounge/diner has plenty of space for everyone to sit back after a great day exploring County Kerry. The main lounge area has stone tiling, a cheery wood burner and impressive wooden beams in the high vaulted ceiling, helping to give an added feeling of spaciousness to this welcoming area. A stylish dining table is to the rear, and the room extends round to an additional dining table over by the French doors. The beautifully tiled and fully equipped farmhouse-style kitchen also features a stylish additional breakfast bar. Exploring this spacious hideaway further you will find a separate WC and a handy utility room. There are three beautiful double bedrooms to choose between, all decorated in warm neutral tones and featuring calming views: one has a lovely en-suite bathroom, and the other two each have a refreshing en-suite shower room each.
Outside, the landscaped gardens extend for three-quarters of an acre around the house. A large courtyard has plenty of outdoor furniture, providing a perfect spot for a BBQ on a sunny summer’s day. Featuring further seating areas, the gardens lead down to the tranquil tree-lined banks of the river.
