Description
This handsome holiday home is just a mile from the beautiful Inch beach and boasts panoramic views across Castlemaine Harbour to the Ring of Kerry. With four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a choice of companionable living spaces, it’s a great base for a big group gathering.
Perfect for a party of eight, this striking coastal abode stands within its own lawned grounds in the centre of the Dingle Peninsula. A gated driveway sweeps up to the front door; park and step through the front door to find traditionally styled interiors where guests can gather or spend time in peaceful solitude. Your choice of living spaces begins with the large kitchen/dining/sitting room, where there’s a wood burner within a feature brick fireplace, a TV and double doors opening onto a conservatory with additional comfortable seating. At the other end of this space, the farmhouse-style kitchen has all the must-haves of a home and is complemented by a separate utility room with extra storage space and laundry equipment. There’s elbow space for everyone around the central dining suite and lots of natural light thanks to triple-aspect windows. A separate lounge with picture windows and an open fire offers break-out space; unwind with a book or simply drink in the views of the harbour and hills beyond. The main bathroom provides convenience for all, and when it’s time to retire, there are two double bedrooms on the ground floor – one with an en-suite shower room. Stairs lead up to two further rooms; each has its own en-suite shower room and one has a double plus a single bed, while the other has a double bed. For a breath of fresh sea air, take a seat on the elevated patio – complete with a BBQ and panoramic views it’s a lovely spot for food and drinks alfresco.
Just a mile away, the sands and dunes of Inch Beach stretch for around 4 miles and are ideal for all-weather walks and water sports. Head 11 miles inland and Castlemaine is known as the gateway to both the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. Visit for a choice of welcoming pubs, restaurants and shops, or head 15 miles west instead to the pretty fishing port of Dingle for locally sourced seafood, historic inns and boat trips into the bay and the Blasket Islands beyond.
