Description

Follow the picturesque Ring of Kerry route from this charming cottage on the Iveragh Peninsula. Sleeping just four guests, the single-storey, two-bedroom retreat is situated 1.5 miles from Glenbeigh and just over 2.5 miles from Rossbeigh, with its spectacular beach. Welcoming pets, and with a garden capturing views of the Curra Mountains, this is a perfect County Kerry retreat for a small family or couples who savour the great outdoors.

Step inside via the pretty porch and front door to emerge in an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With a wooden floor and exposed stonework, this sun-filled space has a friendly, welcoming ambience. Settle in here on the sumptuous sofas to watch TV or to make your holiday plans. Head over to the wooden kitchen area, which has an inviting farmhouse feel, to prepare hearty Irish feasts with the local produce you have sourced and to gather round the table to dine together. At the end of each exciting day, treat yourself to a hot dowse in the family shower room before laying your head in either the double bedroom or the twin. Spill out into the partly enclosed garden to let your four-legged friend unleash some energy or to light the BBQ and have lunch or dinner out in the fresh air against the scenic backdrop. There is storage space out here for cycles, surfboards and other equipment.

Head off hiking, cycling or mountain climbing in your picturesque surroundings. While away summer days on the gorgeous, 3.5-mile-long sandy beach at Rossbeigh. This is popular with surfers and walks, as well as swimmers. Plan a day out to Killarney, 23 miles away, where you can shop, dine out and take boat trips out on Lough Leane. Visit the Killarney National Park, 25 miles away, to explore its beautiful forest, lake and mountain landscapes.

Lovely cottage. Well equipped. Loved the extra touches with the wellies, sweet treats fruit and milk. Also rooms and bathroom had toiletries again nice little extra thoughts gone into it. Owner was so kind and welcoming too. Would definitely come and stay again and have already recommended to family and friends
