Description
A traditional cottage in an incredible setting, this homely bungalow is in a quiet location surrounded by countryside and close to the sea and beach. It has amazing views from the open-plan living space, three comfortable bedrooms, and a wood burner-effect electric fire for cosy evenings. It makes the ideal base for a break with friends or family spent exploring the area and enjoying outdoor pursuits.
The single-storey property, overlooking Derrynane Bay, is light, bright and comfortable throughout. There are 22 steps from the car park to the cottage and amazing views from the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. There’s plenty of space to cook, dine and relax together in the country-style kitchen area, at the dining table and soft seating, there’s also a TV and a wood burner-effect electric fire. There are three bedrooms, two double rooms, as well as a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room (which also houses the washing machine). You’ll also find a family bathroom where you can enjoy a relaxing soak.
Wander to the pier (less than 500 metres away), and to the sandy beach (1 mile). Visit the small historic village of Caherdaniel (2 miles), home to a pub and restaurants, and pop to the shop at Glanbegh (2 miles). Play a round of golf on the championship course at Waterville (9 miles) and book horse riding at Caherdaniel and Cahersiveen (18.5 miles). Derrynane Bay is the ideal location for all sorts of water sports and excursions, including fishing, boat trips, swimming, diving, kayaking, and sailing. Wander through the woodlands at Darrynane House, where youngsters can look for fairy houses, and visit the abbey ruins on Abbey Island (0.5 miles).
