Description
Take a break at this property for a romantic, rural escape where you can explore the natural beauty of the local area with several fantastic walking routes on offer in Oughterard (3 miles). The holiday home itself is bursting with character, featuring a cosy stove, exposed beams and characterful pieces of furniture which help you to feel instantly at home.
This delightful holiday home has a cosy living room space, flooded by natural light from the dual-aspect windows, and warmed by a roaring wood burner, with a selection of comfortable seating. Next door, the kitchen/diner is a pretty room with pastel hues and traditional styling, creating a perfect location for an intimate morning coffee or evening meal. When it’s time to rest, the main bedroom is elegant, featuring a double bed and scenic views out of the window, whilst the second room is compact yet cleverly designed to fit a double bed and a dressing table. Serving the bedrooms is a quirky shower room with an apex ceiling where you can refresh after a day of adventure. Outside, when the sun is shining you can cook up a storm on the BBQ and dine alfresco, soaking in the mature trees and shrubs found in the garden.
A must-visit whilst staying locally is Brigit’s Garden and Cafe (6 miles), known for being one of the most beautiful gardens in the country. The Celtic gardens inspired by the cycle of life are truly fascinating, whilst the cafe is an idyllic place to stop off for a bite to eat with your loved ones. Alternatively, lovers of golf can enjoy an 18-hole round at Oughterard’s championship golf course, located at the gateway to Connemara.
