Discover this picture-perfect thatched cottage nestled in the breathtaking landscape of the Burren, offering welcoming accommodation for couples or a family with wonderful coastal walks from the doorstep and Traught Beach nearby. This 19th-century retreat provides a cosy hideaway with a roaring wood burner in the lounge area and a lovely garden where a picnic bench beckons al fresco dining memories.

Step inside to find homely accommodation spread across a single-storey, where the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. Unwind in the lounge area, complete with a TV for entertainment, and gather around the dining table for meals prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, which offers all the essentials for a self-catering stay. At the end of the day, a double bedroom and a twin room ensure restful nights in this quiet, rural location. A family shower room completes the internal layout. Outside, enjoy the enclosed garden and immerse yourself in the fresh sea air. Share a meal at the picnic bench on sunny days or enjoy a glass of wine under the stars on balmy evenings.

Situated 3 miles from Traught Beach, the cottage is perfectly positioned for coastal walks that reveal stunning vistas across Galway Bay. Outdoor enthusiasts will delight in opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and water sports in the area. The cottage was so cold perhaps the thatched roof does not help 25 degrees outside 17 degrees inside but no were to sit outside so had to sit inside with the fire on

Mrs S,

Kinvarra cottage (thatched) was a lovely place to stay in a lovely location in the county. The owner David was very helpful on what to do in the area and use of cottage and often stopped to talk. The local people are very friendly stopping to talk and there is a the Travellers Inn about 2 miles away. The cottage is in immaculate condition and surrounded by farmland, wildflowers and the sea is nearby. Ten minutes drive in to busy lovely Kinvarra which has shops and places to eat. There was a music festival in Kinvarra which created a lively atmosphere. Swimming at Traught Beach 5 mins drive. Galway town is about an hour drive. There are loads of places of interest with a short drive eg Cliffs of Mother.

Mr O,

Had a great stay at the cottage. The hosts were great, there to welcome us and show us how everything worked and also on the end of the phone when we needed them. House was lovely and warm, despite the cold weather. Enjoyed a local walk and a visit to the local pub. What more could you ask for.

Mr B,

Wonderful peaceful location. Well equipped kitchen. etc

Mr W,

The cottage is picture perfect from the outside and is in a stunning location. I found the inside a bit old fashioned and some of the equipment could do with updating. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable about the area.

Mrs H,

Cottage was comfortable and relaxing.

Mrs M,

We had the most enjoyable holiday this week. The cottage is a a beautiful location with everything you need. Our children, aged 4 & 7 loved it! The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable and gave us lots of local tips. Kinvara is a lovely little village to be close to. We would highly recommend the cottage to families!
