Location

Reviews

Letterard is a really spectacular cottage location. We loved cold water dips in the private dock and watching the weather roll through the bay. We spend two weeks at the cottage in January and while we enjoyed our stay, we probably wouldn't recommend the cottage as a winter retreat due to the significant electricity bill for heating and the cottage being prone to condensation. We wouldn't hesitate to return between April to November.

Mr J,

Brendan and Noreen were excellent landlords and could not have been more helpful. We took the cottage primarily for its location and more importantly it has its own private slipway into the water. We are sea kayakers and took our own kayaks and all our own gear The sea was accessible from/to the slipway at all states of the tide, including at low water spring tides. We enjoyed our weeks holiday sea paddling. The was plenty of room to park our vehicle as well as store our sea kayaks, at the top of the private slipway. This saves a great deal of time loading and unloading the car and changing at alternative put ins. All the Islands in Bertraghboy Bay are easily reachable by sea kayak from the cottage, as are the Outer Cashel Islands. We particularly enjoyed visiting Mason and Spike Islands as well as Oghly Island. This is a very good location for sea kayakers and SUP boarders, with a good enclosed bay adjacent to the cottage that might appeal more especially to the latter.

Mr R,

We rented the cottage for a week and once again felt very comfortable. We don't need luxurious amenities; everything we need is there. We particularly liked the quiet location and the fantastic view, including seal spotting. As always, contact with Noreen & Brendan was very friendly and uncomplicated. It will always be our favorite place to stay, and we'd love to come back.

Mrs R,

A wonderful place to stay in a great location. The cottage is litteraly by the sea. The hosts are also very caring people. Highly recommend

Mr E,

Beautiful location cottage and cupboard smelt musty.

Mrs Y,

We really enjoyed our all too short week, Noreen and Brendan couldn't have been nicer hosts. So wonderful to be able to open the door and be right by the sea, good comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and the windows looking straight to the sea ..what a view Had great swims from Finish Beach and Moyrus ..good walks locally and had clear days to be able to go up one of the Twelve bends. Great supper at Glynsk ..really delicious sea food chowder with Fabulous light wheaten scones and Guiness. Lovely to be in an area with Irish spoken and many families living. So many Orchids and wild early summer flowers out, it really was such a relaxing and peaceful place, wished we could have stayed longer !
