Description

Savour days on the beach and coastal walks when you stay at this enticing holiday home in County Donegal. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom hideaway nestles in a verdant setting, 1.5 miles from Ballintra. Situated 2.5 miles from the magnificent Rossnowlagh Beach, and 12.5 miles from Lower Lough Erne, with its many walking routes, there is wonderful scenery to be enjoyed both inland and by the sea here.

Make your way inside this handsome house where you can choose between two lounges for rest and relaxation. Find a good film on TV in one lounge or light the open fire in the other then chat together or play games. Open the double doors from this lounge to create a seamless flow into the generous, farmhouse-style kitchen/diner. Find everything you need in here to help you cater for your party during your stay. Then sit down at the table to the delicious dishes you have made with the ingredients you have bought. A utility room and a WC are also downstairs. As day turns to night, head up to the bedrooms on the first floor. These include a king-size, with an en-suite shower room, a double and a twin, with an extra fold-out bed. The family bathroom is also up here. Enjoy the warm sunshine on spring and summer days out in the garden. Light the BBQ outside and grill the fresh Irish seafood you have sourced on your forays.

Venture into Ballintra to stock up on local produce and dine out. Ballyshannon, 12.5 miles away, and said to be the oldest town in Ireland, has a broader array of shops and eateries. Donegal, 8.5 miles away, is also worth visiting. Here you can also see the castle, visit the railway heritage museum and take a cruise on the River Eske.
