Description

This detached family cottage gives you the best of Irish town and country life, set on an acre of land just 1 mile from the market town of Skibbereen. You’ll have an 18-hole golf course on your doorstep (0.5 miles) and the stunning West Cork coastline within 3 miles, offering inlets, islands and wonderful sandy beaches for you to explore. The house sleeps four over two bedrooms, making it perfect for two couples holidaying together or a small family.

Beautifully presented inside and out, this holiday home has been thoughtfully decorated and decked out with high-quality furnishings. A double-sided stonework fireplace between two lounge areas creates a homely, open atmosphere for guests to relax in. The kitchen has glossy red and white units along with double-aspect windows allowing the light to stream in. After a day out exploring, light up the wood burner and sink into one of the sofas with a book and a glass of wine, before retreating to either of the double bedrooms which are served by a shower room. Outside, a large lawn and garden furniture ensures you can make the most of the exterior space, too.

Skibbereen is known for its rich history, friendly atmosphere, painted buildings and beautiful scenery – head there to dine in its restaurants and drink in its welcoming pubs, perhaps with some traditional Irish music in the background. In the fishing village of Baltimore (6 miles), board a ferry to Sherkin and Cape Clear islands for a serene escape, or why not go on a kayaking trip on Lough Hyne? The area is ripe for activities such as fishing, riding and tennis, or wandering around attractive villages like Glandore (9 miles) and Castletownshend (5.5 miles).
