Description

A traditional whitewashed cottage nestled at the foot of the Slieve Miskish Mountains on the Beara Peninsula. This charming hideaway is ideal for a family or small group of friends seeking a relaxing countryside escape. Stroll the pretty streets and snap a group photo in front of the vibrant coloured houses in the village of Eyeries (1 mile). Back at base, throw another log on the wood burner and snuggle up on the plump sofas with a sweet treat.

This homely property features a welcoming interior with low beamed ceilings, bright splashes of colour, and relaxing social spaces. Unlace muddy boots by the door then venture into the bright kitchen/diner. Drink in tranquil mountain views from the large window as you portion out some nibbles. Pop a bottle of fizz and adorn the table with a hearty evening spread. Retire to the lounge and sink onto the sofas to unwind with a film or while away the evening with board games. Little ones can sneak away to the cosy snug area to play or delve back into a holiday novel. When night falls, slip into the sheets of three peaceful bedrooms each with a distinct style; one double bedroom and two twin rooms, served by a vibrant, nautical-inspired bathroom. Outdoors, inhale the crisp country area from the garden while you lounge on the garden furniture with a brew.

Blow away the cobwebs as you brave a wild swim in the brisk waters of Glenbeg Lough (5.5 miles). Animal lovers will be in their element paddling alongside the resident seals on a guided kayak tour from Adrigole (15 miles) while the history lovers navigate the legend-steeped site of the Kenmare Stone Circle (25.5 miles).
