Description
This charming cottage, situated in a quiet location on a 17-acre beef farm, is the perfect retreat for couples, small families or friends. Sleeping four over two peaceful bedrooms, it won’t be long before you’re all feeling refreshed and ready to explore the stunning local area. Head into Ardgroom (2.5 miles) for a quick drink or bite to eat, or simply stay at home and enjoy the stunning gardens with a BBQ on the patio, taking in magnificent views over Kenmare Bay and the Caha Mountains.
Blending traditional features with contemporary comforts, everyone will feel at home here. Whitewashed stone walls, tasteful spotlighting and country-style furniture in the living area make it a cosy place to light the wood burner and curl up with your favourite Netflix show on TV. Splashes of green in the kitchen brighten up the scenery outside; sit with your morning coffee at the kitchen table or enjoy sociable breakfasts in the dining area. Upstairs, a double and a twin room await; whitewashed walls, wooden furniture and pastel tones create a true farmhouse-style feel. In the morning, freshen up with an invigorating shower in the bathroom surrounded by sleek tiles.
Head out for refreshing strolls on Beara Peninsula Beach (750 metres) or go walking around Glenbeg Lough (4.5 miles) for lakeside views. Dunboy Castle (13.5 miles) offers a fun family day out, as does Derreen Garden (9.5 miles) with its network of winding paths through woodland gardens and subtropical plants that open out into breathtaking views of the sea and mountains. If you’re here for hiking or cycling, the property is located on the Wild Atlantic Way, so see how far your legs can take you!
