Description

Soak up the gorgeous County Clare and Burren scenery from this exceptional cottage at Ballyvaughan. Sleeping six guests, and welcoming a canine companion, the three-bedroom cottage takes in sweeping views out across the countryside and Atlantic Ocean. Situated just 500 metres from the beach, it is in an excellent position for sea kayaking and coastal walks. Inside, it offers an open fire to toast beside after winter walks and a garden for outdoor relaxation on lazy summer days.

Open the front door, slip off your walking boots and head into the lounge to relax for a spell. Light the open fire in here on chill days then sink back into the soft seating to watch TV or take in the picturesque views. Unpack any fresh produce you have bought on your trips out through in the kitchen/diner. Slide the glass doors open on warm days to bring in a summer breeze. Find everything you need in the kitchen to help you cater for your party on those occasions you choose to dine in. One of your bedrooms, a twin, and the family bathroom are also on the ground floor. The other bedrooms, a double, with an en-suite shower room, and a second twin, are on the floor above. Amble out into the sunshine to throw a stick for your happy hound or to play games with the children. Have a glass of wine outside as the sun sets over the sea.

Head out on foot to enjoy this beautiful swathe of Ireland, which is known as the Burren. Plunge into the Atlantic waves or enjoy a long walk along the volcanic sands of Fanore Beach, 9.5 miles away. Plan a day out to the scenic Burren National Park, 16.5 miles away, with its variety of different trails through magical landscapes.
