Description
This delightful property is perfect for couples seeking a peaceful holiday in the picturesque countryside and coastal surrounds of Portballintrae in County Antrim. The historic seaside village of Portballintrae is 0.5 miles away, where you can go surfing at Runkerry Beach, shoot 9 or 18 holes of golf at Bushfoot golf course and dine on some of the freshest seafood; try a traditional Irish chowder in one of the local eateries. There are beautiful nearby landscapes to explore, including the iconic Giant's Causeway (3.5 miles), an area of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns.
Open the door to this stylish bijou studio and enter a light, contemporary living space. An open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom, with striking black and white decor, invites you to relax after a day of exploring and spending quality time together. There is a comfortable sofa to sink into; you can watch a movie together on TV or enjoy reading. A sleek kitchen area has everything you need to whip up delicious dinners for two with your locally purchased ingredients. Dine at the table and enjoy the views over the rural landscape, or if the weather permits, enjoy an al fresco breakfast. When it is time to sleep, the sofa becomes a king-size bed for a good night's rest. Adjoining the main space is a shower room. Outside, a courtyard garden is shared with the adjoining cottage but features a private table and chairs where you can bask in the sunshine, take in the views, or fire up the BBQ for some al fresco summer dining.
Further afield is the hidden gem of Coleraine (8.5 miles), offering you plenty of walking trails in town and plenty of opportunities for retail therapy or an enjoyable evening of culture at the theatre. Portrush and Portstewart are pretty harbour towns that are well worth a visit, less than 8 miles away.
