Description

This delightful coastal cottage enjoys panoramic views across Cushendun Bay and is the ideal base for an active family looking to explore the Antrim Coast and Glens National Landscape. Within 2 miles of the sleepy coastal village of Cushendun, the dog-friendly cottage features a cosy lounge, a contemporary kitchen/diner and a patio garden boasting far-reaching countryside views.

The two-storey cottage stands off a quiet country lane that carves its way through undulating countryside towards the coast. Its deceptively large interior is dominated by solid pine flooring, with stylish soft furnishings on the ground floor thoughtfully placed to encourage you and yours to enjoy quality time together. Entering via an external flight of stone steps, you’ll find yourselves in a cosy lounge complete with comfortable sofas arranged around an open fire and picture window offering stunning bay views. The kitchen/diner has all the preparation space foodies need to create hearty meals, with a large dining table. The two ground-floor bedrooms – an en-suite double bedroom and a twin bedroom blessed with a calming colour palette and pine flooring – are only a short hop from a spacious family bathroom. The en-suite double bedroom and the twin bedroom on the first floor also feature pine flooring and offer plenty of storage space. The quaint patio area within the partially enclosed garden offers a table and chairs for al fresco dining or simply admiring the view throughout the day.

The cottage’s location in the heart of the Antrim Coast and Glens National Landscape affords it easy access to scenic footpaths and miles of sandy beaches overlooking cobalt blue seas. Cushendun is a haven for nature lovers coming to spot red squirrels, and walkers can enjoy access to numerous footpaths, including the Glens Great Grassland Trail, which runs through meadows close to the cottage. Cushendun Beach (400 metres) is welcoming throughout the year, just like the town centre, home to a castle, quaint shops and pubs.

Reviews

We had an amazing Holiday here, The owners were friendly kind, helpful and wonderful. Unfortunately the weather was rubbish but that didn’t stop us from having a good time. We had trips to Belfast and Derry which aren’t too far away. Once back at the cottage there was a fantastic view to look at all day you can even hear the waves from the beach at the front door.
